A native New Yorker, Dr. Hawash received his undergraduate degree in biology from the New York Institute of Technology, graduating summa cum laude. He then received his doctoral degree in neuroscience from Wright State University, producing several ground-breaking findings and publications in the field of electrophysiology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University and was inducted into the Academy of Medicine while there.
